Catena-Poly[(acetato-chloridozinc)-?-1,1'-[1,4-phenyl-enebis(methyl-ene)]di-1H-imidazole].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Zn(CH(3)CO(2))Cl(C(14)H(14)N(4))](n), is a one-dimensional coordination polymer in which the Zn(II) ion is tetrahedrally -coordinated by two N atoms of a bridging 1,1'-[1,4-phenyl-enebis(methyl-ene)]di-1H-imidazole ligand, an acetate O atom and a Cl atom. The Cl atom, two acetate O atoms and two acetate C atoms are located on a mirror plane. The coordination of the diimidazole ligand to the Zn(II) ion gives an infinite one-dimensional zigzag structure along the b-axis direction with the charge balanced by the chloride and acetate ions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[Zn(C??H??O?Si)(C??H??N?)]·H(2)O}(n), consists of one Zn(II) ion, two half 3,3'-(dimethyl-silanedi-yl)dibenzoate ligands and two half 1,1'-(1,4-phenyl-ene)di-1H-imidazole ligands. The Zn(II) ion is four-coordinated by two O atoms from two carboxlate ligands, two N atoms from two imidazole ligands. Two Zn(II) ions are bridged by two carboxyl-ate groups in chelating mode, generating a binuclear secondary building unit (SBU), which is further coordinated by two N atoms from two imidazole ligands in monodentate mode. Thus, the binuclear SBUs are further bridged by imidazole ligands in two different directions, giving rise to a chain. The water solvent mol-ecules are hydrogen bonded within the chain along the c axis.

Project description:The imidazole ring in the title compound, C(27)H(22)N(8), adopts a slight envelope conformation with the C atom carrying the phenyl ring being the flap atom. The phenyl ring is almost perpendicular to the mean plane of the imidazole ring [dihedral angle = 88.90 (7)°]. The (1H-benzotriazol-1-yl)methyl groups bound to the imidazole ring are positioned on the same side of the imidazole ring. The dihedral angle between these benzotriazolyl rings is 17.71 (5)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by a C-H⋯π inter-action, which connects the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running along the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, C(18)H(30)N(4)O(2), contains two tert-butyl urea groups, each connected to a benzene ring though a methyl-ene group. One of the groups occupies a position almost normal to the aromatic plane with a C-N-C-C torsion angle of -94.4?(4)°, while the other is considerably twisted from the ring with a C-N-C-C torsion angle of -136.1?(4)°. In the crystal, pairs of mol-ecules are connected to each other, forming centrosymmetric dimers in which two NH groups of one mol-ecule act as hydrogen-bond donors to one carbonyl O atom of the other mol-ecule. The dimers are linked into sheets parallel to (100) by N-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the remaining N-H and C=O groups.

The coordination about the Mn(II) ions is distorted octahedral with a MnClN(4)O coordination set. In the crystal, the polymeric chains are linked by O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (100). A number of C-H?Cl and C-H?O inter-actions are also present.

Project description:The title compound, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(4), is a phenyl dicarbamate with crystallographically imposed inversion symmetry. The dihedral angle between the carbamo-yloxy plane [i.e. the plane of the N-C(O)-O fragment; r.m.s. deviation = 0.002?(3)?Å] and the plane of the aryl ring is 29.2?(1)°. In the crystal, two different centrosymmetric N-H?O hydrogen-bond inter-actions are observed; these are described as R(2) (2)(8) and R(2) (4)(8) in graph-set notation. The rings form an alternating sequence, linking the mol-ecules into a sheet structure parallel to (011).

Project description:A red block-shaped crystal of the title compound, [Co(HCOO)2(C12H10N4)2] n , was obtained by the reaction of cobalt(II) nitrate hexa-hydrate, formic acid and 1,1'-(1,4-phenyl-ene)bis-(1H-imidazole) (bib) mol-ecules. The asymmetric unit consists of one Co(II) cation, one formate ligand and two halves of a bib ligand. The central Co(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two carboxyl-ate O atoms and four N atoms from bib ligands, completing an octa-hedral coordination geometry. The Co(II) centres are bridged by bib ligands, giving a two-dimensional net. Topologically, taking the Co(II) atoms as nodes and the bib ligands as linkers, the two-dimensional structure can be simplified as a typical sql/Shubnikov tetra-gonal plane network. The structure features C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between formate and bib ligands, resulting in a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
