ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title co-crystal, C6H7N3O·0.5C4H6O4, comprises one N'-hy-droxy-pyridine-2-carboximidamide mol-ecule and half a succinic acid mol-ecule (the whole molecule is generated by inversion symmetry). In the crystal, mol-ecules are assembled into columns along [110], via strong N-H?O, O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of strong N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with R 2 (2)(10) motifs. The dimers are further linked into C(3) chains through O-H?N hydrogen bonds.
