O₂.- scavenger: The rate constant for the rapid reaction of the ROS superoxide with the reduced vitamin B₁₂ radical complex cob(II)alamin was directly determined to be 3.8×10(8) M⁻¹ s⁻¹. This rate was independent of pH over the range 5.5-8.7. These results have implications for studying the use of B₁₂ supplements to combat diseases associated with oxidative stress. ...[more]
