ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of title salt co-crystal, [K(C9H11N2S2)(C12H24O6)], comprises a K(+) cation, an (-)S2CN(Et)py anion and a 18-crown-6 mol-ecule. Substantial delocalization of ?-electron density is evident in the di-thio-carbamate anion, as indicated by the equivalent C-S bond lengths. The K(+) cation sits within an O6S2 donor set lying 0.7506?(6)?Å out of the least-squares plane through the six O atoms (r.m.s. deviation = 0.1766?Å) of the 18-crown-6 mol-ecule with the two S atoms being on one side of this plane. Supra-molecular layers in the bc plane, sustained by C-H?O and C-H?? inter-actions, feature in the crystal packing.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Rb2(P2S6)(C12H24O6)2]·2CH3CN, contains one half of an [Rb(18-crown-6)2]2[P2S6] unit and one aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecule. The [Rb(18-crown-6)]2[P2S6] unit is completed by inversion symmetry. Its Rb(+) ion is situated near the centre of the macrocyclic cavity, but is displaced by 0.8972?(1)?Å from the O atoms of the crown in the direction of the [P2S6](2-) moiety. The overall coordination number of the cation is eight, defined by the six crown ether O atoms and by two terminal S atoms of the [P2S6](2-) anion. The hexa-thio-metadiphosphate anion is built up from two tetra-hedral PS4 units joined together by a common edge. The crystal structure is characterized by alternating layers of [Rb(18-crown-6)]2[P2S6] and aceto-nitrile solvent mol-ecules stacked along [010].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C16H22N2O2S, contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules (A and B). In mol-ecule A, the cyclo-hexane ring is disordered over two orientations [occupancy ratio 0.841?(10):0.159?(10)]. In each mol-ecule, the central carbonyl thio-urea unit is nearly planar (r.m.s. deviations for all non-H atoms of 0.034?Å in mol-ecule A and 0.094?Å in mol-ecule B). In both mol-ecules, the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The mean plane of the cyclo-hexane ring makes dihedral angles of 35.8?(4) (mol-ecule A) and 20.7?(3)° (mol-ecule B) with that of the benzene ring. Each mol-ecule features an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond, which closes an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of weak N-H?S inter-actions, forming inversion dimers with an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif for both mol-ecules. The crystal structure also features weak C-H?? ring inter-actions.

The thiocyanate anions act as bridging ligands between the Cd(II) ions, leading to a polymeric chain arrangement extending along [001] around a twofold screw axis. The ammonium ions are contained within the bowl of the macrocycle via extensive N-H?O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title compound, C18H20N2OS, displays whole-mol-ecule disorder over two adjacent sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.630 (11):0.370 (11). In each disorder component, the cyclo-hexyl ring shows a chair conformation with the exocyclic C-C bond in an equatorial orientation. The dihedral angles between the cyclo-hexyl ring (all atoms) and the naphthyl ring system are 36.9 (6) for the major component and 20.7 (12)° for the minor component. Each component features an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which closes an S(5) ring. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds generate R (2) 2(8) loops for both components. Aromatic π-π stacking inter-actions [shortest centroid-centroid separation = 3.593 (9) Å] and a C-H⋯π inter-action are also observed.

The acetate ester (I) crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. In the benzoate ester (II), the planes of the two aryl rings are inclined to one another by 46.70 (7)°. In both compounds, there is a short intra-molecular N-H⋯N contact present, forming an S(5) ring motif. In the crystals of both compounds, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming dimers with R22(8) ring motifs. The dimers are linked by N-H⋯S and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming slabs parallel to (01-1). In (I), there are N-H⋯π and C-H⋯π inter-actions present within the slabs, while in (II), there are only N-H⋯π inter-actions present.
