The first synthesis of enantiopure glucose octyl ether polyamido-saccharides (GOE-PAS) with a defined molecular weight and narrow dispersity is reported using a controlled anionic ring-opening polymerization of a glucose-derived β-lactam sugar monomer possessing octyl ether chains.
