Annotated type catalogue of the Chrysididae (Insecta, Hymenoptera) deposited in the collection of Radoszkowski in the Polish Academy of Sciences, Krakow.

ABSTRACT: A critical and annotated catalogue of 183 types of HymenopteraChrysididae belonging to 124 taxa housed in the Radoszkowski collection is given. Radoszkowski type material from other institutes has also been checked. Six lectotypes are designated in Kraków (ISEA-PAN): Chrysisacceptabilis Radoszkowski, 1891; Chrysispersica Radoczkowsky, 1881; Chrysisdaphnis Mocsáry, 1889; Chrysislagodechii Radoszkowski, 1889; Chrysisremota Mocsáry, 1889 and Chrysisvagans Radoszkowski, 1877. The lectotype of Brugmoiapellucida Radoszkowski, 1877 is designated in Moscow (MMU). Four new combinations are proposed: Philoctetesararaticus (Radoszkowski, 1890), comb. n.; Pseudomalushypocrita (du Buysson, 1893), comb. n.; Chrysiseldari (Radoszkowski, 1893), comb. n.; and Chrysuramlokosewitzi (Radoszkowski, 1889), comb. n.. Ten new synonyms are given: Chrysisauropunctata Mocsáry, 1889, syn. n. of Chrysisangolensis Radoszkovsky, 1881; Chrysischrysochlora Mocsáry, 1889, syn. n. and Chrysisviridans Radoszkowski, 1891, syn. n. of Chrysiskeriensis Radoszkowski, 1887; Chrysisangustifronsvar.ignicollis Trautmann, 1926, syn. n. of Chrysiseldari (Radoszkowski, 1893); Chrysismaracandensisvar.simulatrix Radoszkowski, 1891, syn. n. of Chrysismaracandensis Radoszkowski, 1877; Chrysispulchra Radoszkovsky, 1880, syn. n. of Spinoliadallatorreana (Mocsáry, 1896); Chrysisrubricollis du Buysson, 1900, syn. n. of Chrysiseldari (Radoszkowski, 1893); Chrysissubcoerulea Radoszkowski, 1891, syn. n. of Chrysischlorochrysa Mocsáry, 1889; Chrysistherates Mocsáry, 1889, syn. n. of Chrysisprincipalis Smith, 1874; and Notozuskomarowi Radoszkowski, 1893, syn. n. of Elampusobesus (Mocsáry, 1890). One species is revaluated: Chrysischalcochrysa Mocsáry, 1887. Chrysiskizilkumiana Rosa is the new name for Chrysisuljanini Radoszkowski & Mocsáry, 1889 nec Radoszkowski, 1877. Pictures of seventy-seven type specimens are given.

Previous lectotype designations of five species are set aside: Chrysisbicolor Lepeletier, 1806 (designated by Morgan 1984); Chrysiscalimorpha Mocsáry, 1882 (designated by Móczár 1965); Chrysiselegans Lepeletier, 1806 (designated by Bohart (in Kimsey and Bohart 1991)); Hedychrumchloroideum Dahlbom, 1854 (designated by Kimsey 1986); Hedychrumrutilans Dahlbom, 1854 (designated by Morgan 1984). Three new synonymies are proposed: Hedychrumintermedium Dahlbom, 1845, syn. n. of Holopygafervida (Fabricius, 1781); Chrysissicula Dahlbom, 1854, syn. n. of Chrysiselegans Lepeletier, 1806; Chrysissuccinctula Dahlbom, 1854, syn. n. of Chrysisgermari Wesmael, 1839. Chrysisdistinguenda Spinola, 1838, and Chrysiscoronata Spinola, 1808, are considered nomina dubia. Hedychrumalterum Lepeletier, 1806, and Hedychrumaulicum Spinola, 1843, are considered nomina oblita. Project description:BackgroundA catalogue of types from the Herbarium of the University of Granada has not previously been compiled. As a result, a search of these collections in order to compile digital images for preservation and publication yielded a large number of formerly unrecognized types.New informationThis dataset contains the specimen records from the catalogue of the nomenclature types of fungi and lichens in the Herbarium of the University of Granada, Spain. These herbarium specimens are included in the GDA and GDAC collections, acronyms from Index Herbariorum (Thiers 2014). At this time, the type collection of fungi and lichens contains 88 type specimens of 49 nominal taxa, most from Agaricales and the genus Cortinarius, described from the western Mediterranean, mainly Spain, by the following authors: V.Antonin, J.Ballarà, A.Bidaud, G.F.Bills, M.Bon, C.Cano, M.Casares, G.Chevassut, M.Contu, F.Esteve-Raventós, R.Galán, L.Guzmán-Dávalos, R.Henry, E.Horak, R.Mahiques, G.Malençon, P.Moënne-Loccoz, G.Moreno, A.Ortega, F.Palazón, V.N.Suárez.-Santiago, A.Vêzda, J.Vila, and M.Villareal. For each specimen, the locality indication, species name, observation date, collector, type status, related information, associated sequences, other catalogue numbers related to each type, and image URL are recorded. The dataset is associated with an image collection named "Colección de imágenes de los tipos nomenclaturales de hongos, líquenes, musgos y algas incluidos en el Herbario de la Universidad de Granada (GDA y GDAC)" (Vizoso and Quesada 2013) which is housed and accessible at the Global Biodiversity Information Facility in Spain (GBIF.ES) Hosting and Publishing Service "Biodiversity Image Portal of Spanish collections" and is also available at the Herbarium of University of Granada institutional web (Vizoso 2014a, Vizoso 2014b). That image collection contains 113 images, of which 56 correspond to the nomenclature types of 49 taxa (47 fungi, 2 lichens), the rest of the images in this collection correspond to documents and specimens or microscopy photographs which are included in the herbarium specimens of fungi. These complement and document the process of the typification.

Project description:The type status is described for 65 taxa of the Orthalicoidea, classified within the families Megaspiridae (14), Orthalicidae (30), and Simpulopsidae (20); one taxon is considered a nomen inquirendum. Lectotypes are designated for the following taxa: Helixbrephoides d'Orbigny, 1835; Simpulopsiscumingi Pfeiffer, 1861; Bulimulus (Protoglyptus) dejectus Fulton, 1907; Bulimusiris Pfeiffer, 1853. The type status of Bulimussalteri Sowerby III, 1890, and Strophocheilus (Eurytus) subirroratus da Costa, 1898 is now changed to lectotype according Art. 74.6 ICZN. The taxa Bulimusloxostomus Pfeiffer, 1853, Bulimusmarmatensis Pfeiffer, 1855, Bulimusmeobambensis Pfeiffer, 1855, and Orthalicuspowissianusvar.niveusPreston 1909 are now figured for the first time. The following taxa are now considered junior subjective synonyms: Bulimusmarmatensis Pfeiffer, 1855 = Helix (Cochlogena) citrinovitrea Moricand, 1836; Vermiculatus Breure, 1978 = Bocourtia Rochebrune, 1882. In an addedum a lectotype is being designated for Bulimulus (Drymaeus) interruptusvar.pallidus Preston, 1909. An index is included to all taxa mentioned in this paper and the preceding ones in this series (Breure and Ablett 2011, 2012, 2014).
