ABSTRACT: Nonvisualization of the gallbladder during the second trimester of pregnancy should prompt concern for biliary atresia. A normal-sized gallbladder with irregular and crenelated wall associated with a cyst of the extrahepatic tract should raise concern for cystic biliary atresia.
