Spontaneous regression of pulmonary metastatic melanoma.

ABSTRACT: Spontaneous regression of metastatic melanoma is a rare event with only 76 cases having been reported since 1866. The precise mechanism of regression remains unknown. We present a case of a man with spontaneous regression of pulmonary metastatic melanoma confirmed on histopathology accompanied by reduction in fluorodeoxyglucose-activity on serial positron emission tomography/computed tomography scan.
