Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Liposarcoma arising in the mediastinum is extremely rare. Herein we present a case of a 47-year-old man with a huge posterior mediastinal tumor that extended to the bilateral thorax. The patient underwent a complete resection of the tumor and experienced an uneventful recovery. Postoperative pathology finally revealed liposarcoma. The patient underwent follow-up for 25 months, during which time no recurrence was found.
