A series of micro-hydrogel particles consisting of hyperbranched polyamidoamine (HPAMAM) without any supporting core materials was synthesized via the inverse suspension condensation polymerization of A<sub>2</sub> and B<sub>4</sub> monomers, N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) and ethylenediamine (EDA).
