It remains unclear whether resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rfMRI) networks are associated with underlying synchrony in energy demand, as measured by dynamic 2-deoxy-2-[<sup>18</sup>F]fluoroglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET).
