Sr<sub>x</sub>Bi<sub>2</sub>Se<sub>3</sub> and the related compounds Cu<sub>x</sub>Bi<sub>2</sub>Se<sub>3</sub> and Nb<sub>x</sub>Bi<sub>2</sub>Se<sub>3</sub> have attracted considerable interest, as these materials may be realizations of unconventional topological superconductors.
