ABSTRACT: Study hypothesis: Assess the possible benefit of Hemoionic, a new haemostatic, in sphincter-saving surgery for rectal cancer with special reference to pelvic fluid collection reduction. Primary outcome(s): Volume of fluid collected by the pelvic suction drain.
