Effect of early chemotherapy on angiogenesis after laparoscopic resection in colorectal cancer patients

ABSTRACT: Interventions: Drug : Colorectal cancer patients treated with minimally invasive surgery followed by adjuvant FOLFOX chemotherapy were randomly assigned to two groups: the FOLFOX group, FOLFOX on postoperative day (POD) 7-9; the control group, FOLFOX on POD 21.
FOLFOX4 chemotherapy: Leucovorin 200 mg/m2 iv over 2 hrs before 5-FU, d1 and 2; 5-FU 400 mg/m2 iv bolus and then 600 mg/m2 iv over 22 hrs, d 1 and d2; Oxaliplatin 85 mg/m2 iv d1
Blood sampling is performed preoperatively, and POD 3, POD 7-9, POD 9-11, POD 21.
