Neutrophils infected with Leishmania donovani

ABSTRACT: In the context of studying visceral leishmaniasis, neutrophils infected with Leishmania donovani have been compared to uninfected neutrophils. Compared time points are 0, 6 and 24 hours post infection. Neutrophils of three human donors have been used. Overall 6 samples for infected neutrophils at time point 6 hours and 6 samples for infected neutrophils at time point 24 hours exist, including three biological samples and two technical samples. Uninfected neutrophils represent 3 samples at time point 0 hours, 3 samples at time point 6 hours and 3 samples at time point 24 hours. Transcriptome of Leishmania donovani culture has been assessed in two replicates.

Project description:293T cells were infected with HIV-1 pseudovirions, and 0, 4 and 12 hours post-infection, the cell lysates were collected. Label-free proteomics was applied to examine the protein-level changes. Duplicate samples for six time points were collected (0, 4, and 12 hours post-transduction, virus- and mock transduced samples) and analyzed in duplicates, allowing for the measurement of two technical and two biological replicates for each time point. The results were used for the analysis of protein networks implementing both the qualitative and quantitative information.

Small intestinal tissue and epithelial regeneration after 12 Gy whole-body irradiation of C57BL/6 wild type mice

Project description:C57BL/6 wild type mice were exposed to 12 Gy whole-body irradiation. Before irradiation (t=0) and at t=24, 48 and 96 hours after irradiation, mice (n=10 per time point) were euthanized. From n=5 mice per time point RNA was isolated from small-intestinal (jejunum) tissue, from n=5 mice per time point RNA was isolated from EDTA-isolated epithelial cells from small-intestinal tissue (jejunum).
