RNAseq from regions of insitu and invasive human mammary ductal disease
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To understand the progression of ductal carcinoma insitu (DCIS), we performed RNAseq on individually laser captured regions of pathology annotated human mammary ducts. We identified and sequenced regions annotated as normal ducts, benign ducts, atypical ducts, DCIS and early stage invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Freshly frozen biopsies from 145 patients were used, with 31 patients diagnosed with DCIS and no reports of IDC after more than 10 years since original diagnosis. RAW reads were aligned to GRch38/hg38 using STAR.
