Whole Genome Scan for meat quality traits in a Multibreed Angus-Brahman population in Florida
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Animals used in the study belong to the multibreed Angus-Brahman herd from University of Florida, born between 2007 and 2014. Cattle have different expected proportions of Angus- Brahman breed composition. A total number of 800 animals were genotyped with the 250K Bovine SNP BeadChip (GeneSeek, Inc., Lincoln, NE). Ten additional SNPs and four indels were genotyped by High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis on an Illumina’s Eco Real-Time PCR System (Illumina, USA).
