ABSTRACT: Whole blood transcriptional signatures distinguishing patients with active tuberculosis from asymptomatic latently infected individuals have been described but, no consensus exists for the composition of optimal reduced gene sets as diagnostic biomarkers that also achieve discrimination from other diseases.
