Comparison of the Transcriptome Profile of four Tissue Specific MSCs: Significance and Therapeutic Implications
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Performing global gene expression profiling for different types of (Mesenchymal stem cells) MSCs can provide important information that might help in understanding the biology and ontogeny of MSCs. Additionally, it might help in the understanding of the propensity and capacity of MSCs from a particular source to differentiate toward a particular lineage or adopt a certain fate. We used microarrays to detail the global gene expression profiling for different types of MSCs including bone marrow (BM), Adipose Tissue (AT), Umbilical cord (UC) and placenta(PL). The MSCs transcriptome profile was additionally compared to the transcriptome profile of dermal fibroblasts.
