The transgenerational effects of mitochondrial supplementation
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To determine the outcomes of offspring produced from mitochondrial supplementation to mature oocytes at the time of fertilisation, we generated three generations of offspring. Primordial follicles of the third generation female mice (postnatal day 3) were collected, and RNA sequencing was performed. We compared the treated and control gene expression data to determine differentially expressed genes between the two groups. Our data suggest that mitochondrial supplementation has transgenerational effects on offspring.
