Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Twelve-week-old rats underwent bilateral ovariectomy (OVX) or sham surgery. Four weeks after surgery, the animals underwent the following treatments for 4 weeks: subcutaneous injection of teriparatide (TPTD) or saline 3 times weekly. All rats were anesthetized and sacrificed at the end of the experimental period. The L4-5 dorsal root ganglia (DRG) were harvested.
