RNA sequencing of host transcriptome of human foreskin fibroblast cells infected with Toxoplasma gondii bradyzoites, with and without myr1 (myc regulation 1)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The purpose of these data is to determine if the impact bradyzoites have on the host transcripton is dependent on the export of parasite effector proteins via Myr1. We found that the expression of 3,068 host genes (~42%) were dependent on Myr1. A further 4,312 were altered in the same direction when comparing both the wild type and knock-out infected samples to the uninfected group. We can therefore conclude that Myr1 has an impact on the host transcriptional response to bradyzoite infection.
