Three-dimensional genome restructuring across timescales of activity-induced neuronal gene expression
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Post-mitotic neurons in the mammalian brain form synapses that dynamically remodel throughout an individual’s lifetime to encode learning and memory. Here, we create high-resolution genome folding maps in >12 Megabases around IEGs and synaptic genes and find that 12% of long-range looping interactions are induced de novo during cortical neuron activation.
