Exploration of wound signaling pathway in Calotropis procera

ABSTRACT: To explore the wound response in C.procera seedlings, a customized microarray chip (8x60K) was developed using the annotated transcripts obtained from de novo transcriptome data of C.procera. 3-month-old seedlings were subjected to mechanical wounding for 1h, 3h and 6 hours and RNA was isolated for the microarray hybridization and analysis. Expression analysis of transcripts involved in defense, primary metabolism, secondary metabolism, TFs were studied in comparison of control seedlings.
