JMJ17, a H3K4 demethylase, regulates chlorophyll biosynthesis during the transition from dark to light in Arabidopsis seedlings
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We have reported that, JMJ17 regulates photosynthesis, tetrapyrrole biosynthesis, light responsive and stress related genes in Arabidopsis. JMJ17 directly associates and modulates H3K4me3 level at chromatin region of PORC, HEMA1, CHLI1, CHLM and LHCA4 genes and repress their expression in the dark.
ORGANISM(S): Arabidopsis thaliana
