Loss of the centrosomal protein Cenpj leads to dysfunction of the hypothalamus and obesity in mice

ABSTRACT: Here, we identified distinct transcription factor expressed in specific cellular region. We precisely microdissected hypothalamus to isolate VZ, medial MZ and lateral MZ tissue at E12.5, which then were dissociated for RNA sequencing and three biological repeats were included. (GO) analysis of Nkx2-1-associated genes showed a significant enrichment of terms related to neuron differentiation, including neuron fate commitment, pattern specification process, stem cell development, neurotransmitter biosynthetic process, positive regulation of cell proliferation, neuropeptide hormone activity, and particularly type 4 melanocortin receptor binging.
