Transcriptomes of the metabolism inhibited mouse embryonic stem cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The connection between bioenergetics and cell fate remains poorly understood. It is wildly accepted that pluripotent stem cells mainly on anaerobic glycolysis for energy production rather than oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) compared with differentiated cells. However, mitochondria in PSCs still possess functional respiratory complexes. Here we generated the transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) of OXPHOS inhibited ESC, glycolysis inhibited ESC and control ESC, presenting the variation of the global gene expression induced by metabolism inhibition
