ABSTRACT: The Tongmai Yangxin Pill (TMYX), a patented medicine, has been widely used to treat coronary heart disease (CHD) in China for several decades. Though the anti-inflammatory effect has been preliminarily proposed as one of the potential mechanisms of TMYX for CHD treatment, the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. We used microarrays to explain the genomic changes of Tongmai Yangxin Pills in the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease, in order to explore the potential mechanism of TCM in the treatment of diseases.
