Transcriptome profiling following knockdown of NAA50 in Arabidopsis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We utilized RNA-seq to identify transcriptome changes following knockdown of the Arabidopsis N-terminal acetyltransferase NAA50. Transgenic Arabidopsis plants carrying a dexamethasone-inducible amiRNA were used to study the effects of NAA50 knockdown. Significant changes occurred in the transcriptomes of NAA50 knockdown plants at 12 and 24 hours after dexamethasone treatment. These changes demonstrate that loss of NAA50 results in a reduction in signaling related to plant growth and development, as well as an increase in the expression of stress- and defense-related pathways.
