Investigating the role of IL-2 in shaping the epigenome in T cells [ChIP-seq]
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: During T cell activation hundreds of genes are primed for efficient activation. Here we show that IL-2 signaling is required to maintain open chromatin at gene regulatory elements which are associated with alternate pathways of T cell differetiation.IL-2 actiavtes binding of AP-1 and STAT5 at sites that can subsequently bind other STAT and lineage dietermining proteins, depending on what other factors exist in their enviroment.
