MicroRNA-21-induced loss of Junctional Adhesion Molecule-A promotes activation of oncogenic pathways, progression and metastasis in colorectal cancer


ABSTRACT: Junctional adhesion molecules (JAMs) play a critical role in cell-cell interactions, cell permeability, polarity and migration. Gene expression and proteomic assays were used to define down-stream effectors of JAM-A dysregulation in colorectal cancer.
