Transcriptome data involved in female Chinese tongue sole (Cynoglossus semilaevis)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In the present study, five important somatotropic and reproductive tissues including brain, pituitary gland, liver, gonad and muscle from 6 large females and 6 small males were used for transcriptomic analysis. A mean of 23,389,128 high quality clean reads were obtained from each library and 109, 698, 1,325, 2,299 and 2,141 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) separately recognized from brain, pituitary gland, liver, gonad and muscle between small and large female individuals (fold change ≥ 2 and q < 0.05). These DEGs’ enrichment analysis suggests that the up-regulation of neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction, cell cycle, DNA replication and MAPK signaling pathway in large female group may be involved in the regulation of growth differences.
