Gene expression profiling in myeloid cells of chronic myeloid leukemia patients
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To clarify whether myeloid cells in chroninc myeloid leukemia (CML) harbor any signs of altered characteristics, we performed transcriptome analyses of type 1 conventional dendritic cells (cDC1s), basophils, monocytes, and neutrophils isolated from peripheral blood of CML patients and healthy donors. Taken together with the flow cytometric analyses of these cells and bone marrow progenitors, our results indicated that anti-tumor immunity is impaired in CML patients by BCR-ABL via both disrupting cDC1 development and promoting myeloid cell-mediated immune suppression.
