Effects of fatty acids EPA and oleic acid on responses of Atlantic salmon adipocytes to polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: EPA might have a special and unique role in the immune system of Atlantic salmon, especially when exposed to viral infection. Adipose tissue is an endocrine organ that secretes various adipokines involved in metabolic regulation and in inflammatory responses. This study investigates the role of EPA during a simulated viral infection in salmon adipocytes.
