RNA Sequencing of L1-FGGY- and L1-FGGY+ lung squamous cell carcinoma tissues

ABSTRACT: We uncovered the roles of Long Interspersed Nuclear Element-1 (LINE-1, L1) in cancer development in this study. In order to elucidate the underlying oncogenic roles of L1-FGGY in tumorigenesis and tumor progression, we collected an independent Chinese cohort of 109 LUSC tumor samples (52 L1-FGGY+ vs. 57 L1-FGGY-) from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital (TJMUCH) and performed RNA sequencing for them.The functional Gene Ontology enrichment of those genes in L1-FGGY+ tissues revealed the significant functions in multiple metabolic processes, including glutathione metabolism, arachidonic acid (AA) metabolism, and drug metabolism.
