ABSTRACT: Cardiac fibrotic process is the synergetic activities of fibroblast, myofibroblast and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT). Epigenetic regulators like DNA methylation are proved to involve in EndMT in the context of cardiac fibrosis. In our study, we explored the role of TET2 in heart fibrosis and EndMT, and found the loss of TET2 could promote EndMT and cardiac fibrosis by regulating DNA methylation.
