Unique expression profile for type-I, -II, and -III IFNs regarding epithelial reorganization in primary epithelial cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We provide evidence that the type-I, -II and -III IFNs induced differentially expressed genes associated with inflammation and epithelial remodeling. Besides their overlapping induced interferon stimulated genes, all IFN family members enhanced the antiviral host intrinsic defence mechanisms by increasing epithelial integrity.
