Effects of upregulated JAK/STAT signaling on gene expression in Drosophila airway epithelial cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Chronically activated JAK/STAT signaling leads to several lung diseases, including lung cancer, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. We used the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to elucidate the molecular processes which transform elevated JAK/STAT signaling in airway epithelial cells into pathology.
