Effect of suppression of ERDMAN_2020 on whole-genome transcriptomic profiling of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Erdman by RNA Seq

ABSTRACT: The main objective of this study is to analyze changes in whole-genome transcriptomic profile of ERDMAN_2020(-) strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Erdman after ATc-dependent conditional depletion of ERDMAN_2020 by RNA Seq. Total 798 transcripts were found differentially regulated in three biological replicates with log2 fold change ≥ 1 and p-value ≤ 0.05 from. ERDMAN_2020 belongs to MerR family of transcription regulators. Treatment of ERDMAN_2020(-) strain with 50ng/ml ATc for 4 days resulted in accumulation of 338 transcripts and suppression of 460 transcripts, compared to the empty vector control.
