Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals transcriptional changes in the cartilage of subchondral insufficiency fracture of the knee
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Subchondral insufficiency fracture of the knee (SIFK) is a common cause of knee joint pain that mainly afflicts the elderly. Yet its transcriptional profiles of cartilage in SIFK and OA patients are largely unknown. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on the cartilage of a SIFK patient, then compared with the processed scRNA-seq files of normal and OA cartilage tissues which were acquired from GSE169454. Cartilage samples from SIFK and OA patients were used to confirm some of the transcriptional expression.
