Cardiomyocyte infection by Trypanosoma cruzi promotes innate immune response and glycolysis activation
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To investigate the effects of T. cruzi on human cardiomyocytes during infection, we infected induced pluripotent stem cell_x0002_derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CM) with the parasite and analyzed responses at 24 hours and 48 hours post infection (hpi) em compared to basal (0hpi - Control) using transcriptomics (RNAseq) We also validated our finds using RNA-seq data from HIF-1alpha mutated iPSC-CM treated with LPS.
