Assessing the effects of four two-component system response regulator knockouts in E. coli
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Escherichia coli use two-component systems (TCSs) to respond to environmental signals. TCSs affect gene expression and are parts of E. coli’s global transcriptional regulatory network (TRN). Here, we profiled the effects of knockout of 4 TCS regulators: atoC, btsR, cusR, and rcsB. These knockouts were grown in the presence of their typical effector molecules to enable comparison to the intact response of the WT system (K-12 MG1655).
ORGANISM(S): Escherichia coli str. K-12 substr. MG1655
