Endothelial DLL4 is an adipose depot specific fasting sensor regulating fatty acid fluxes
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Adaptation of adipose depots to change in fuel availability is critical for metabolic flexibility and cardio-metabolic health. The mechanisms responsible for fat depot-specific lipid sensing and shuttling remain elusive. We investigated the contribution of microvascular endothelial cells in this process. We performed transcriptional analysis of native microvascular endothelial cells isolated from paired biopsies of human gluteofemoral (GF-AT) and abdominal (Abdo-AT) subcutaneous adipose tissues. Gene expression profiles were performed using Agilent Sureprint G3 Human GE v3 microarrays.
