Single cell sequencing data of islets from WT and Npc1KO mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Npc1 is a cholesterol transporter located on lysosomal membrane, and whether it is involved in regulating the function and differentiation of β cells is unclear. To understand molecular basis of the phenotype caused by Npc1 loss in β cells, we isolated islets from 2-week-old WT and Npc1KO mice for single-cell sequencing. We compared the gene expression profiles of different subpopulation of islet cells and found many changes of islet subpopulation and biological pathway occurred in Npc1KO islets.
