RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) of ANKRD6 in MKN45 gastric cancer cells by shRNA
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Metastasis and recurrence are the major causes of poor outcome in gastric cancer (GC). We showed that ANKRD6 expression is associated with a poorer prognosis in 10 independent GC cohorts and with metastatic states and processes. Here, by transcriptomic profiling we have characterized the effect of ANKRD6 silencing in vitro and found that cells with ANKRD6 downregulation display an impairment in key metastatic processes such as the Epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
