Differential transcriptome analysis of mid-logarithmic and early stationary growth phases of hyperacidophilic archaea Cuniculiplasma divulgatum S5


ABSTRACT: Comparative gene expression analysis was employed for deciphering the major metabolic pathways in actively growing and stationary-phase cultures of Cuniculiplasma divulgatum S5. The analysis of data revealed differences in expression profiles that could not be investigated otherwise, e.g. through the shotgun proteome studies. This transcriptome study accompanies physiological and metabolic studies to pinpoint the key niche adaptation mechanisms and disentangle evolutionary trajectories within Thermoplasmata.
