Single-nucleus transcriptomic highlights sex differences in cardiac molecular signaling and identifies a novel cardiomyocyte population associated with CCNA2-mediated cardiac regeneration
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Adult mammalian hearts lack regenerative potential and this is a significant contributing cause of the extensive morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease. We performed single nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) to capture of cell diversity and gender-specific changes as well as identification of critical differentially expressed genes in cellular clusters throughout the heart.
