Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing in the whole blood of three dog breeds
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: DNA methylation patterns reflect the status of individual tissues, such as cell composition, age, and the local environment in mammals. This experiment addressed the DNA methylation landscape in the dog genome across three breeds: Shiba, Dachshund (Miniature), and Poodle (Toy). A comprehensive profile of whole-genome DNA methylation from the whole blood of three dog breeds was generated using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing.
ORGANISM(S): Canis lupus familiaris
