Lichenoid chronic graft-versus-host skin displays high interferon score with promising effect of IFNAR1 inhibitor on local inflammation

ABSTRACT: Chronic cutaneous graft-versus-host disease (ccGVHD) is a debilitating complication of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, presenting as sclerotic or lichenoid (lGVHD) lesions. Although frequent, the pathogenesis of lGVHD remains mainly unknown. This study aimed to decipher the immunological mechanisms mediating the lichenoid reaction in lGVHD skin. To this end, we performed single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) on lGVHD (n=3) compared with healthy control (HC, n=4) skins and analyzed the distribution and inflammatory signatures of immune cells.
