Methyltransferase-like 3 mediates m6A modification of heme oxygenase 1 mRNA to induce ferroptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells in acute kidney injury
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: As an iron-dependent programmed cell death model, ferroptosis has been reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of acute kidney injury. Methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3) -mediated m6A modification has recently been associated with various renal diseases. However, the relationship between METTL3 and ferroptosis is unclear. In order to further study the molecules involved in that, we first performed m6A sequencing on the kidneys of the control mice and the mice injected with folic acid(FA).
